When is it?
The Grand Parade takes place on the first Saturday of August. In 2026 that is Saturday, August 1, running through the day into the evening. Carnival weekend runs from roughly the Thursday before through the following Monday.
Where does it go?
In recent years the parade has run along Lake Shore Boulevard, travelling between Exhibition Place and Coronation Park — a route of roughly 3.5 kilometres. Bands cross official judging points along the way.

Is it free?
Yes — most of the parade along Lakeshore is free to watch. There are also paid premium viewing areas with seating and better sightlines if you prefer.
